The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association had grown to over 30 members, the larger members of the SIAA reorganized in a meeting in Gainesville, on December 12-13, 1920, called by Professor S.V. Sanford of Georgia, who served as the first president of the SoCon at the meeting. Formally created on February 25, 1921. |
